Vocational Higher Secondary Examination Board on behalf of State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCRET) has successfully held Vocational Higher Secondary Examination for the aspiring and eligible students of Kerala. Scores of students appeared for the exams that were held in various centers of the state and have been waiting for the results release. The board is all prepped to release the results of VHSE exams. Vocational Higher Secondary Education got established in the year 1983. The VHSE scheme has been introduced into 19 schools with a few selected courses and was later extended to 73 schools with 27 different vocational courses. It has slow introduced 45 courses. VHSE was made available in 35 restructured courses with modernized curriculum. There are both private and government schools that are affiliated to the board. The Board of Vocational Higher Secondary Examination is constituted to advice and to take decisions on the conduct of various public examinations and publication of results. It conducts various exams like Second Year public Examination, Second Year Save-A-Year examination, First year public examination, first year improvement examination and various module examinations for Skill evaluation.
Kerala VHSE Schemes of examination 2017
VHSE board conducts VHSE exams in mainly two schemes. The schemes include Continuous Evaluation Grading revised scheme and Continuous Evaluation and Grading (Revised Cum Modular) scheme. Under the first scheme, the board will consider marks of both first and second years to declare the results. Students who secure D+ grade will only be eligible to go for higher studies. Whereas, under the second scheme, the syllabus will be restructured into four modules and in each module a student has to go through skill evaluation for which a maximum score of 100 is earmarked. Students who secure 50% or above will be eligible to take skill certificate.
Kerala VHSE Medium of Examination and Grading Method
Kerala VHSE board conducts VHSE exams in various languages. Lakhs of students appear for VHSE exams every year. The languages in which the paper will be made available are English, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada. VHSE board will declare the results in grading method. Kerala VHSE board has conducted VHSE exams for the students of the state in the month of March this year. Many students who wish to go for higher studies have appeared for the exams and are waiting anxiously for the results release. The board has held the exams from 9th March to 29th March, 2017. As per the board, the results will be announced in the month of May. The appropriate date of results release will be announced by the board soon.
